A videowork between documentary and fiction
about the 23 year old security guard Kenya.
The "documentary" mixes the life story of Kenya with the actress
interpretations and imagination of Kenyas life. The work not only
focuses on the question of what is documentary and what is fiction, what
is real, what is projection and interpretation, but also on the working
process and the integration or infiltration of the actresses character
into Kenyas story.
The film focuses on how Kenya deals with the fact that her husband disappeared
one day mysteriously and left her alone (explaining in a letter weeks
later that he had to go back to Africa to take care of his family), her
thoughts about relationships, marriage and her dreams and hopes in her
career and personal life (becoming a model, actress or dancer).
